About Us
We are Tegen and Claire, together we have created The Shepherd's Hut Kitchen. In the Summer of 2020, we finished transforming a Shepherd's Hut into a static professional kitchen based at Playing Place near Truro. Fitted out by ourselves it provides a bespoke environment enabling us to produce the type of delicious food we love to eat and share with family and friends only its all for you!

We cater for events from birthdays through to weddings and cosy nights at home. Picnics for days out, holiday cottage freezer fills for visitors and much more.
​
We also create a wide variety of 'Hut made' jams, syrups, pickles and chutneys using seasonal fruits and vegetables. With some ingredients harvested from our own kitchen garden. Our batches are small, handmade and we stock a delightfully tempting range.

October 2020 marked the start of our 'Saturday Night Shepherd's Hut delights' takeaway. If this is new to you head over to our Menu's page to find out all about it.
We always make extra to freeze and have a wide selection of our takeaway meals available for when you feel like a night off from cooking.

We trade from our little shop right next to our kitchen, 'The Shepherds Hutlet'. Here you can view our range of preserves and check out our handmade crafts. Come and visit us and treat yourself or find a gift for a friend or loved one.

Our Shepherd's Hutlet is currently open on Saturdays 10.30am - 4pm. We are located at the top of Chyreen Lane just off the roundabout by Playing Place.

As you would expect from any environmentally conscious business, we strive to be as green as possible, sourcing quality local seasonal ingredients where we can. Our packaging is 100% biodegradable and we recycle or compost all of our waste.
